Assessment Services

Clinical Neuropsychologists have advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning of brain disorders that affect attention, language, learning, memory, academic performance, problem solving and decision making. The assessment process helps our clients and their families have a better understanding of the cognitive, emotional and behavioural changes they are experiencing and enables us to better pinpoint what supports and services may be most beneficial so that our clients can reach their full potential. Our expert diagnosis of a wide range of brain conditions means that we can provide individualised, practical strategies and recommendations to support our clients towards the next phase of their journey.

We use clinical assessment as a tool to better understand your child's unique thinking style. Following the assessment, we offer a follow-up session to discuss the results of the assessment. A comprehensive report is also provided detailing the assessment results and intervention strategies personally tailored to your child.

Using a range of techniques including comprehensive interview, evaluation of mental state, and importantly standardized assessment tools. We can integrate the findings with other information to determine whether cognitive decline has occurred, to differentiate neurologic from psychiatric conditions, to identify neurocognitive aetiologies, and to determine the relationship between neurologic factors and difficulties in daily functioning. We assist in guiding diagnostic decision making or planning of individualized management strategies for patients with mild cognitive impairment, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and other clinical conditions that affect cognitive functioning.
